Firstly, we want you to be happy with your purchase. We accept returns and will talk through any problems. You can rest assured that you will be well looked after and being members of the PBFA and ABA we have a robust guarantee and reputation. Buying rare books can be significant outlays - we do not want you to be disappointed.
UK Shipping is always free, if the item is over £100 we will generally send it via special delivery or recorded. We usually send second class, but can arrange expedited delivery where required - just contact us. International Shipping is now also free. Expensive items shipped abroad can be shipped using Airsure at your request.
Books are wrapped in bubblewrap and shipped in a wrapper box where appropriate. If you have any particular requests for packaging materials just let us know.
We ship most days, so expect dispatch the same or next day after payment.
For large lots and some international consignments we may choose to ship by courier, generally FedEx, TNT or ParcelForce. Pickup by Courier can be arranged by the buyer if desired.
We offer a no-quibble returns policy. If you're not happy just return it at your cost for a full refund postmarked within seven days.
We currently accept PayPal, Credit/Debit Card, Bank Transfer and Cheque payments.
We can offer flexible payments terms; if a book's £500 and you want to pay for it over four months then that's absolutely fine. The book will stay with us until the payment has been fully received, but the book will no longer be sold once the first payment has been made. As long as we agree the terms up front then there's plenty of room for flexibility. We have reciprocal trade discounts available to associated sellers, and other sellers with whom we have a relationship. Terms for institutions are negotiable on a per client basis.
Simply put, we won't sell or disclose your details outside of our own business. We're not interested in that, we just buy and sell books!
