London, Constable Westminster, 1898. First edition, first impression. Hardback. A very good copy. Inscribed by the author to the front endpaper. The author's first book. RAF is best known for his detective fiction, but this is along a much different line. The book recounts his time as a colonial surgeon in Africa. We can find just one other example of the book having been inscribed. The boards are a little marked, and the tips are bumped but internally it's excellent with just a few spots to the front endpaper. Some pulling to the hinges. [10011, Hyraxia Books].
