Oxford, Blackwell, 1919-1929. First editions, first impressions. Hardbacks. A very good set in good jackets. Six volumes complete, each with the jackets. Uncommon in the jackets. Contains works by Dorothy L. Sayers, W.F. Harvey (inc. The Beast with Five Fingers), Storm-Jameson, Evelyn Waugh, Michael Sadlier, Naomi Royde-Smith, A.E. Coppard. Volume 1: The jacket is a little chipped to the lower edge, bumping to the spine tips. Volume 2: Spine tanned, large tear to the top, a number of chips along the spine, tears to the folds, tips bumped. Volume 3: Spine chipped and torn, with small loss. Tanning to the spine. Hinges torn. Offsetting. Michael Sadlier's copy with his signature. Volume 4: Chips to the spine and a small stain, tips bumped. Volume 5: A couple of chips to the spine, tips bumped. Volume 6: Spine tips heavily chipped, large tear to lower spine, tanning to the spine. Bumping to the tips and discolouration from the chips. All in all a very good set in good jackets.
