No Place, No Publisher, n.d. [pre-1921]. Manuscript. Hardback. Eight pages in holograph, bound with blanks in a half-leather binding. A charming little Christmas story. Signed at the end by Herford and Albert E. Sterner, so I presume that the pair came up with the story but Herford wrote it down. No copies of the story located, so presumably it wasn't published. Auction records show this as having sold at in 1921. The binding is later, but has a printed title page noting it as the original ms. The binding has public library markings, but the ms itself is free of such horrors. The binding is a bit battered too, with some rubbing, and a leaf mostly loose. The best bet would be to rebind it in my opinion as the ms itself is fine, with some folding. [10291, Hyraxia Books].
