London, Blackie, 1935. First edition, first impression. Hardback. A very good copy. An uncommon disaster tale involving insect invasion, seemingly taken from the American journalist and author's time in Africa witnessing plagues of locusts. The jacket has a large tear to the top of the spine and a smaller one to the lower tip, both of which have been fixed with tape. The spine is tanned, and there's a little tanning elsewhere. Price-clipped, with stamped price. Cloth a touch sunned to the spine. [10715, Hyraxia Books].
