London, Newnes, 1951. First edition, first impression. Hardback. A very good copy. In the rare jacket. Fourth in the series, and veering away from the format of the first three by being fully illustrated with captions beneath. The jacket is faded to the spine with a number of closed tears, the longest to the lower edge being around 30mm. Some rubbing and creasing. Bumping to the spine tips and corners. Scuff to the upper jacket above the first E of Tree. Some offsetting to the endpapers. Illustrations by Dorothy M. Wheeler [10728, Hyraxia Books].
