New York, Avalon Books, 1957. First edition, first impression. Hardback. A near fine copy in a very good jacket. A superb novel. First edition, preceding the UK - I think. A fantastic novel of terrorism, with a slight satirical bent. Presaging to some extent the terrorism in Ireland in the years afterwards. A little rolling and tanning to the jacket, but largely presentable. Some bumping and wear to the spine tips. Jacket needlessly reinforced at the vertices by brown tape, but sit it on the shelves for a few months and you'll probably forget - I certainly did. Red faded on the spine.
