London, Penguin, 1959-1979. First editions, first impressions. Very good to fine copies. All first editions published by Penguin (also included is Quatermass [Arrow, 1979] as it's part of the inscription set). Each book is inscribed by Kneale to George Locke. The Tomato Cains are also inscribed to the same, being the UK and US first editions, each in very good condition with a little edge wear to the jackets and bumping to the spine tips. The US jacket is price-clipped, and the UK has a large tear, around 30mm, to the head of the spine, with a slight lean and some rubbing to the edges. Locke worked with Kneale for a number of years, perhaps best noted as publishing Kneale's Year of the Sex Olympics. [11147, Hyraxia Books].
