London, Saunders and Otley, 1829. First edition, first impression. Hardback. A near fine copy. Not in Bleiler, In Spectrum [III:p181] though describes a different copy. Interplanetary (well, the moon) satire on phrenology [Roberts, p96]. Apparently preceeded by an 1825 edition published in India. Gift inscription on the front endpaper reading: 'Miss Trotter with the Editor's very kind regards'. This links the book to a 1976 Sotheby's auction Uncommon. Bound in full, blue calf, marbled endpapers. A nice binding. Probably a presentation copy. Uncommon. [11195, Hyraxia Books].
