The letter is quite bitter and is really just sending Aldiss a copy of a letter Temple had sent to Arthur C. Clarke (wherein he moans about Aldiss). In the letter to Aldiss Temple mentions that he doesn't like to talk behind people's backs, thus the letter. [2] Form reply from Aldiss, with a typed note 'Hell hath no fury like a poseur who rates no mention in Billion Year Spree, signed with initials. [3] Typed letter signed dated 29th Feb 76. from Temple in reply to Aldiss, addressed 'Dear Bighead'. In this letter, Temple retorts that he hasn't read Billion Year Spree. [4] Short autograph note from Temple to Aldiss, dated 16th March 76, basically just another burn from Temple. A fascinating exchange of two egos. [11204, Hyraxia Books].
