Purportedly written in 2277 (printed in Teyoninhakawaranenopolis; published in Yankeedoodoolia), but set in 1820s London. A spoof of contemporary political novels. Interestingly, Clute [SFE] speculates that the a line in the preface may be the first usage of the term alternate history, this term doesn't appear in the preface though, so perhaps he was referring to a later issue. Loss to the spine, front endpaper has a corner missing, glue residue to both pastedowns. Worn, as expected really. [11347, Hyraxia Books].
