Chicago, Colonial Publishing Company, nd. First edition, first impression. Paperback. A very good copy. A very rare issue. No other copies located of this particular issue, though there appear to be various editions published in English (translated from the French). The present copy, being publishied by the Colonial Publishing Company suggests that it's a later issue. The publication format suggests to me 1890s, maybe 1900s. Translated by George D. Cox. The tale of a journey into Africa where a lost race of sorts is found with a matriarchal society headed by the eponymous 'Black Venus' Walinda. A few chips here and there, some creasing and edge wear. A little loss to the spine, and toned leaves as expected. [11486, Hyraxia Books].
