The letters are to Peter Keary, Griffith's editor from the early days at Pearson's. The content of the letters involves the title of the current book, and covering manuscript chapters he was sending Keary. The book was likely not associated with the letters, beyond being the title the letters are refering to. Front endpaper removed, rear hinge cracking, spine toned and tips and corners bumped.
