Inscribed by Caine by way of a little sketch, and offered with a short letter by Caine. "Set in a UK transformed by the near-future invention of a substance capable of taking any shape and function, and by the unrest this substance causes when an unscrupulous industrial magnate tries to corner its use." [Clute, SFE]. The jacket is worn, with a large area of loss to the top of the spine that has been crudely backed with paper. Edge wear and a little creasing to the rest of the jacket, and a couple of short splits. Some bumping to the spine tips, price stamp to the front endpaper, the plan's present but has a 30mm tear and some creasing. [11928, Hyraxia Books].
