London, John Murray, 1929. First edition, first impression. Hardback. A very good copy. P.C. Wren's plate to the front pastedown, with an inscription thereon to R.M. Conolly. Most likely the plate was sent to the recipient, rather than the book coming from Wren or his library. A little wear to the jacket edges, a couple of short tears and two pushing 15mm, with associated creasing. Spine tips a touch bumped, and a slight reading lean. Subtitled: Stories of Beau Geste, his Brothers, and certain of their Comrades in the French Foreign Legion. Cover art by Helen McKie [12007, Hyraxia Books].
