Sauk City, USA, Arkham House, 1946. First edition. and first impression. Very good condition. The jacket has a production fault wherein two areas of text have not been printed (a dozen words or so), the publisher has tippexed the flaw and hand-written the words (it might be a stretch to think that perhaps Wandrei or Derleth filled in the blanks, particularly as Stan Vinson, the noted collector, was a previous owner and likely had enough copies to know which words were missing). The jacket has some edge wear, a couple of short tears and some toning to the spine. Jacket protector has also been taped down in a couple of places (probably separable). Stan Vinson's book plate to front-endpaper. The flaws are more than compensated however the three double-page ink sketches that the owner, noted bibliography and author George Locke, commissioned Jim Cawthorn to exectue - including a fight between Tarzan and Conan (obviously the victor would be Conan, so a bit pointless).
