London, Harper Collins / Voyager, 1995-1997. First Edition. First Impression. Three volumes. Each volume signed by the author without inscription. A nice set of Hobb's first trilogy. Certainly a highlight in modern fantasy collecting. In our opinion one of the finest pieces of fantasy writing since Tolkien. This story spawned a whole group of stories based around the Six Duchies and further afield. The books are all near fine, spines in decent shape with a little bumping to the tips. Volume one with a little rubbing to the gilt and a price sticker to the front, page block tanned as common. Volume two pulled to title page (common with every copy we've had). A little rubbed with light edge wear. Cover art / illustrations by John Howe [5881, Hyraxia Books].
