London, Robert Scott, n.d. [1921 BL]. First Edition. First Impression. Lost Race. A nice copy in the rare dust jacket. Pleasently illustrated with chapter vignettes and some full page illustrations (unattributed). Not really a lost race novel, given the prehistoric setting (pretty much everything would be lost race), but sits will within the Lost Race collective. Bleiler has Blue Wolf as a pseudonym of Robert Scott, various other sources name Joyce Reason. Reason seems more likely given the subject matter, and Robert Scott is noted as the publisher of the book (and others), so probably just a mistake. In Bleiler under Pre-historic Life [p26], Locke's state A [Vol I, 937]. Provenance: George Locke. Condition is near fine, jacket largely complete and in good shape with a couple of chips, the larger being to the spine. A little offsetting to the endpapers. [5953, Hyraxia Books].
