London, Secker & Warburg, 1949. First Edition. First Impression. Hardback. A very good copy. In the red variant. Orwell's masterpiece needs no introduction, suffice to say it's a fundamental work of dystopian science-fiction. The present copy has a faded spine, a handful of neat, short tears, some apparent bleeding of the ink to the white lettering on the upper jacket. The corners are worn. The book itself is in decent shape with some fading to the spine and edges, a little offsetting to the endpapers. A respectable copy of a book very scarce in fine condition. [6972, Hyraxia Books].
