London, Michael Joseph, 1960. First Edition. First Impression. Hardback. A very good book in a good jacket. Jackson's horror masterpiece, and a solid cornerstone for a collection within the genre. Jacket has a chip to the top corner of the spine, an inch long tear to the jacket through the 'i' of Shirley. A few other areas of wear to the spine, and a little toning to the rear plate. Block a touch foxed to the edges, endpapers toned. Offsetting to half-title. Cover art by Charles Gorham [7652, Hyraxia Books].
