New York, HMCO Houghton Mifflin Company, 1961. First Edition. First Impression. Hardback. A good copy only. Could do with some work. Inscribed by Vonnegut 'With Great Respect / For Donald Born / Kurt Vonnegut'. Uncommon inscribed. Letter tipped in to the front pastedown addressed from Houghton Mifflin to Donald Born asking if Born would like to interview Vonnegut. Interesting association, I'm sure, though I can find nothing on Born. The letter is dated 29th March, and states the book's publication date as April 12th. The present copy would therefore be one of the first copies Vonnegut signed (the book was of course published in PB in 1959 prior to this hardback edition). The jacket has heavy wear to the edges including a number of tears and chips, and areas of rubbing. The book is split along the front hinge. [7672, Hyraxia Books].
