London, Harper Collins / Voyager, 1995-1997. First Editions. First Impressions. Hardbacks. Three volumes. A nice set of Hobb's first trilogy. Certainly a highlight in modern fantasy collecting. In our opinion one of the finest pieces of fantasy writing since Tolkien. This story spawned a whole group of stories based around the Six Duchies and further afield. The books are all very good. Jackets a little faded to the spine, blocks toned as usual, spine tips bumped. Gilt on volume one rubbed. Cover art by John Howe [7711, Hyraxia Books].
