London, Streamline Publications, c1940. Second Edition. First Impression. Paperback. A lost race novel, originally published in 1912 in The Cavalier Weekly in eight installments, and then in book form in 1937 [Bleiler, p68]. The present copy is published by Streamline Productions (Second complete edition), a 1940's publisher mostly known for War and Western publications (of which this fits in the latter category; the lost race element being secondary to the more popular Western element) [Bloom, Gothic Horror, p280]. A race of Egyptian cliff-dwellers within a mountain in Arizona [Teitler p32, SFE], not in the Matherly book. No copies on COPAC or having sold at auction. The 1937 book is scarce, as, apparently is this later edition. [7803, Hyraxia Books].
