Pemberton is perhaps best known for his 1906 collection of strange tales 'The Weird O' It'. The present volume is more of a straight-forward mystery novel [Spectrum, vII, p148]. No jacket, spine tips a little rolled and some foxing to the edges. Clive was the older brother of novelist Max Pemberton. One copy located at the BL, no copies located in commerce.
