London, Williams & Norgate, 1913. First Edition. First Impression. Hardback. A near fine copy in the rare jacket. In Bleiler under supernatural stories [p107]. Locke has cryptically (for George, who often leaves notes in the books) noted 'Titanic' on the endpaper. There is a reference to the Titanic having sunk, but I can find no further significance. The jacket is largely complete, with a handful of 5-10mm tears to spine tips and corners. A little rolling to the edges and some nibbling to the lower spine tip. Some tanning. Internally very nice.
