London, Hodder & Stoughton, n.d. [1923?]. First Edition. First Impression. Hardback. A very good copy. Inscribed by the author: 'Vilhjalmur Stefansson with regards from Bernard Cronin 24.6.24' Uncommon. No copies on the market, nor in auction records. Cronin was an Australian writer, perhaps better known as Eric North, the name under which he published a number of science fiction stories: The Treasure of the Tropics, Toad and The Ant Men. This is, perhaps, another thriller though lacking the SF theme. The jacket is nearly complete with one large chip to the upper spine tip and another larger one to the lower rear. A few closed tears, some toning. Offsetting from the author's inscription to the inside flap. [8548, Hyraxia Books].
