An excellent association copy. Interesting science fiction piece involving rejuvenation in the near future [Clute & Nicholls, SFE]. The author rented a flat from H.G. Wells. Wells subsequently evicted her when she introduced him to Orwell (Orwell had slammed Wells' naivety a few weeks earlier). Author of "Sweet Charlatan" to wrapper.. Some trivial foxing and browning the the end boards and papers. Small chip to jacket. Small stain to jacket rear. [8705, Hyraxia Books].
