Park Ridge, IL, Privately Printed, 1920. Limited Edition. Hardback. A very good copy. Number 14 of 200 copies. An interesting copy. Extra-illustrated. The author (who also illustrated the book) has provided a full-page illustration signed by himself as the illustrator and the author. This sheet has been pasted, roughly to the first leaf. Also included is a 1pp TLS from the author, a 1pp ALS from the author and a 2pp typed manuscript of a fictional autobiographical poem by William Kidd (17th C pirate) with a note at the end from Paul Lorrain (Kidd's pastor in Newgate). This is preceded by a 1pp typed bill / broadsheet regarding Kidd's execution (possibly fictional, possibly copied). Note: this is all 1920s material, presumably written by D'Emo, with reference to earlier material. An interesting piece. Condition: The pasted illustration has come loose at some point tear the leaf it's pasted too. The pasted illustration protrudes from the foreedge, so is a little chipped. Some pulling to the spine also and the thin boards are rubbed and torn a touch at the lower edge. [8931, Hyraxia Books].
