Contains two stories, the second story (Sea Maidens) involves a mermaid changeling so enters the realm of fantasy / weird fiction. Slightly later binding but still early. Forecorners rubbed. Plates to pastedowns and previous owner's signature. Uncommon and hard to find in reference material. Various seller's notes to front of volume one. [9453, Hyraxia Books].
