London, Hutchinson, n.d. . First edition, first impression. Hardback. A very good copy in a good jacket. An excellent collection gathering some eminent horror writers of the era including Visiak, Meyerstein, Machen, Shiel and MacDiarmind. The stories do vary in quality, but there are some interesting mysteries in there too. An important anthology in the genre. The jacket has an area of loss to the top of the text on the upper jacket (the portion isn't actually entirely lost, just detached completely and incomplete!) Some tanning, chipping to the spine tips. Leaves are tanned and the spine tips are bumped. A good copy of an important collection. [9557, Hyraxia Books].
