London, Secker & Warburg, 1961. First edition, first impression. Hardback. A near fine copy. A science fiction near-future, post-apocalyptic, borderline dystopian tale. The book's set in 1970, but published in 1961 and involves nuclear war, British isolation and the woes of ageing. Presented with a proof copy of the same. Proof is fine, book is near fine with just a few signs of ageing including a bit of tanning to the spine, a slight lean and some very gentle edge wear. 20mm tear to the front fold.
