Los Angeles, 1931-1946. Manuscript. Unbound. A collection of 27, mostly lengthy ALS from Logan to Berman. Stanley Logan was a British film actor brought over during Hollywood's Golden Age. He acted alongside many of the greats but always seemed to be in a minor part, and often uncredited. He directed and wrote a couple of films too, but it didn't seem to work out. Berman, was a mentor of sorts, it seems, to Logan when he was in the UK. Berman was a writer and theatre director. As to the content of the letters, well, as is my wont and MO I haven't read them all, but what I have read has been mostly Logan's documenting and critiquing Hollywood. Alas, not much insight into Berman's life, as Logan seems to have gone all Hollywood and rarely, if ever, asks after Berman. An interesting archive. Also: 3 x 3pp double-sided ALS to Burman from 'Cyril' [Armbrister], again from Hollywood. 1 x 4pp double-sided ALS to Burman from Odette [Myrtil, Logan's wife and an actor herself.] 3 x Photos.
