The book has a little wear to the top of the spine, the proof is quite worn to the hinge with a couple of short tears and some toning to the spine. Suggested price marked to upper wrap. The paperback has an autograph letter laid in and a gift inscription from Phelps to 'Hugh' (the letter talks about dramatising Phelps' book, so possibly this is Hugh Greene who was DG at the BBC at the time - the book has a blurb from Graham Greene, so maybe they knew each other - Phelps also worked at the BBC).
