Paris, 1938. Manuscript. Unbound. A very good copy. An unpublished manuscript by a seemingly unpublished writer. 303pp, single-sided, typed. In English with a few manuscript corrections. Offered with a single manuscript sheet which appears to be written to an Edmund [LH] and dated 1979. The book appears to be a fantasy of sorts, involving our first-person narrator finding himself on a distant star (don't ask how I got here type situation). The cursory glance I gave to the manuscript did have a bit of a Star Maker vibe, a bit of a philosophical bent to it and a certain naivety perhaps even for the 1930s. The separate sheet, dated 1979, is a little odd. The sketch is of someone seemingly too young to have written the manuscript forty years earlier, so I'm not sure what's going on there - could just be a poor likeness. It appears that the author has subsequently added the text to the sketch. The letter itself is a little hard to read. [9736, Hyraxia Books].
