London, Duckworth, 1898. First edition, first impression. Hardback. A near fine copy of an uncommon book. This is Housman's second book and first full novel (first book was the Were-Wolf, which is much more common). Housman was a noted suffragette, and founded the Suffrage Atelier with her brother Laurence. The novel seems to involve a mercreature, bringing it into the fantasy camp, with maybe an element of the Weird. Corners and tips a touch bumped, a little dusty but overall in great shape.
