London, Downey & Co., 1896. First edition, first impression. Paperback. A very good copy. An uncommon copy. The story of an ape given human intelligence. The only other copy I can trace in commece is a few years back from Adrian Harrington in the boards. Presumably both were issued simultaneously. Wraps issues are generally less common given the fragility, but clearly both issues are rare. Spine lean, some wear to the spine, a 40mm tear to the lower spine, general edgewear, but a respectable copy overall. [9877, Hyraxia Books].
