London, Eveleigh Nash, 1919. First edition, first impression. Hardback. A near fine copy. The author's only horror story I believe. An important work, admired by Lovecraft and many others since. True first issue with the publisher's name just Eveleigh Nash (later issues have Eveleigh Nash and Grayson - Grayson joined as a director in 1921). No jacket. Slight bumping to the spine and a little darkening. Overall a very nice copy. [9909, Hyraxia Books].
