London, Shaw, 1914. Hardback. Later edition (Locke has the first issue in Blue cloth). Very good copy of this uncommon lost race novel. Set in the Sargasso Sea, upon a land mass atop the weed. Some science fiction elements [Locke, Vol I, p23]. Prize-label to the front endpaper, some spotting to page edges. Other copies, including the one in Spectrum, report three coloured illustrations, the present copy contains only the frontis. [7583, Hyraxia Books].
