London, Digby, Long & Co., 1909. First edition, first impression. Hardback. A very good copy. Germany (the Vulture) invades in 1918. Parodied by P.G. Wodehouse as 'The Swoop! or How Clarence Saved England.' Some bumping to the spine tips and general signs of ageing. Foxing to the pastedowns but main block unaffected. Some toning to the spine. James Blyth (1864-1933) is best known in the genre for his future war novels, though he is largely unread nowadays. [11461, Hyraxia Books].
